What is Film Fights?
Film Fights was started way back in 2003 by a dude named Justin Johnson. He was part of a very small group of filmmakers creating stuff online, and wanted to create somewhere that everyone could hang out, compete, and get better. Now, over 20 years later, Film Fights is evolving for a new generation of filmmakers — the ones using AI tools to tell stories in ways that were impossible just a few years ago.

How do I submit?
Submitting is easy! First READ THE RULES of the fight. We'll give you a Title, a Genre, and a Time Limit, and from those cues you'll create your film using AI tools — Sora, Runway, Kling, Midjourney, whatever's in your creative arsenal. We want NEW stuff created specifically for each fight. No recycling old generations.
What do I win?
The greatest gifts of all — glory, honor, bragging rights, and most importantly, real feedback from people who actually understand the tools you're using. Reviews are constructive criticism focused on storytelling, creative direction, prompting craft, and world-building — the skills that separate good AI filmmakers from great ones.
Selected fights also award a $500 prize to the winner, subject to eligibility rules outlined in our Terms of Service. Read the TOS for full details on how to qualify.
Can I submit anything?
As long as your film was created for this specific fight, the rest is up to you. Tool-agnostic — use whatever gets you there. Pure AI, hybrid, multi-tool pipelines, all welcome. The only rule is that it has to be original work made for this fight.
